On the road.. again.
He said that He wanted all of me. I seem to not even know what 'all of me' means. I suppose we'll continue to figure it out on the road.

Gravity
Something always brings me back to you
It never takes too long
No matter what I say or do
I still feel you here 'til the moment I'm gone
You hold without touch
You keep me without chains
I never wanted anything so much
And I drown in your love and not feel your rain
Set me free leave me be
I don't want to fall another moment into your gravity
Here I am and I stand so tall
Just the way I'm supposed to be
But you're on to me
And all over me
You loved me 'cause I'm fragile
I thought that I was strong
But you touch me for a little while
And all my fragile strength is gone
I live here on my knees as I try to make you see
That you're everything I think I need here on the ground
But you're neither friend nor foe
Though I can't seem to let you go
But one thing that I still know is that you're keeping me down

All-Natural Colors
The human physical body is fantastically amazing. And who made it? God, of course.
I recall a sermon series given by a very wise follower of Jesus Christ. He spoke about cleanliness, the concept of a clean room, the cleanliness of the body both spiritually and physically. Leviticus.
The human physical body is incredibly mysterious. And who made it? God, of course.
Within the past few days, I've experienced what seems to be the beginning of many episodes according to half of my genetic makeup. Bladder infections are no pretty story. When urine is anything else but clear, you've got some sort of issue... the severity most definitely varies. This is a good thing to remember.
The human physical body is entirely creative. And who made it? God, of course.
From this particular sermon series, one particular point stood out to me and has stuck with me for "some" reason. Everything the human body secretes is unclean. And yet, being the visual person I am, has every color you could think of. I'd like to think of the colors as the 5th grade anatomy books. GOD is absolutely creative. Who would have thought to piece us together like we are?
The human physical body is God's. Done.

The Absence of Sun.
I sort of stalk this guy.
His name is Chad.
He speaks nicely.
He speaks on cool topics.
Such as the greatness of the Lord.
Chad Anderson, currently Associate Pastor at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Kearney, Nebraska, used to be my home church's youth pastor intern while he finished his seminary studies. He and his wife, Deb, along with their two beautiful little boys made their way to their home state of golden corn fields. Occasionally, I will listen to his sermons online. He recently spoke a New Year's message of a glorious Light to come.
An excerpt from Friday, 13 February:
One day there will be no sun.
There will be no moon.
Nor stars in the blackness of the evening.
Nor flash lights and fluorescent bulbs.
Yet, there will appear a marvelous light.
A light that shines brighter than any tungsten ever could.
A light that heats warmer than any fiery ball could.
A marvelous Light.
When that time arrives, there will be no more night, nor day, no earth nor sea.
Solely the presence of an astonishing Light.
Jesus Christ.
HE, the Light comes to save.

Brown M&Ms have the least artificial coloring, and the most chocolate.
There's something funny about God taking a broomstick to our faces. Usually it's when we least expect it.
There's something funny about God smashing our hearts of clay to bits and pieces... for Him.
There's something funny about God picking up those pieces of clay so that He can glue it back together... sometimes whether one asks for it or not.
There's something funny about... God. Period.
Completely screwed up. I think. In my head. In my feet... bringing me to places I didn't exactly asked to be taken. But then again. I asked. Fairly eager to get moving, in fact.
Completely screwed up. I feel. In my heart. In my mouth... talking my way into places I didn't exactly asked to be talked into. But then again. I asked. Most eagerly, in fact.
"I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins" says Jesus Christ, Lord of every freakin' thing. Isaiah 43:25
He doesn't remember. He paid for it all. Remember that? Isn't that... astonishing?
He doesn't acknowledge. Because He "loved us and gave himself for me." Galatians 2:20
And so, "rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed." 1 Peter 4:13
"The point of your life is to point to Him." - Francis Chan, pastor of Cornerstone Church in Simi Valley, CA
Brown M&M's have the least artificial coloring, and the most chocolate. Deceiving.
Frankly, so are we sometimes.
